X EDIZIONE DI ARCHIVI APERTI | RETE FOTOGRAFIA

The tenth edition of “Archivi aperti” (Open archives) kicks off today, Friday, October 11. This annual event is promoted by Rete Fotografia with the aim of raising public awareness about the historical and cultural value of the photographic heritage preserved in archives across Italy.

The theme of this new edition is “Pagine di Fotografia” (Pages of Photography) and aims to reflect on the complex relationship between photography and publishing.
The debate will also address the very timely issue of digital publishing, particularly focusing on younger generations and the development of suitable languages to educate and engage new audiences with the history of photography and photographers.
