The Photographers’ Gallery | Virtual Realities
The Photographers’ Gallery in London, organizes an open call addressed to artists and photographers, for a daily Workshop about Virtual Realities, held on 1 June 2019, from 11am to 6pm.
The workshop is realized in collaboration with Khora Contemporary, a leading virtual reality art production company working with artists such as Paul McCarthy, Yu Hong and Tony Oursler.
The session will include talks and demonstrations and will cover the basics of:
- What the process looks like from an artist’s perspective
- Technical Aspects of VR
- Distribution/Exhibition of VR Art
- Market for VR Art
The session will be co-led by Peter Fisher and Sandra Nedvetskaia from Khora Contemporary, with a guest talk by artist Natasha Caruana. Prior experience of working with VR and digital technologies is not necessary.
There are 10-12 places and participants will be selected on the strength of their practice and their response to a 2-part in the form.
