OPEN CALL | TRANSMEDIALE RESIDENCY PROGRAMME 2025

transmediale, in collaboration with international and local partners, is now accepting applications for the 2025 artist residency programme.

The programme, an integral part of transmediale’s activities, aims to establish sustainable practices and long-term relationships with artists, moving beyond a production-oriented approach.
The residencies, lasting two months in a hybrid format (both on-site and remote), will take place between May and July 2025. They are designed for artists and theorists conducting research in the fields of media, science and technology studies, in art criticism, as well as digital art and moving image practices.

There will be four residencies: Digital Art Residency, transmediale x ARKO Residency, Vilém Flusser Residency for Artistic Research, and transmediale x Chile Residency.
Each of them offers a monthly stipend, along with support for travel and accommodation.
