Inside Out / Upside Down
As part of the sixth edition of The Photographers’ Gallery’s ‘Open Door’ series, resident hosts Wandering Bears present ‘Inside Out Upside Down’.
Visitors are invited to respond to fourteen individual works, each by a different artist, by recreating their own versions. Each participant will receive an individual, takeaway sticker album in which to create and photograph their own unique interpretations of the work on display using their mobile phones or cameras provided.
The artists involve in this project : Beni Bischoff, Erin O’Keefe, Fleur van Dodewaard, Hanna Putz, Jason Evans, Joshua Cittadella, Lorenzo Pitturi, Luke Norman & Nik Adam, Matilda Hill Jenkins, Matthieu Lavanchy, Maurice van Es, Max Zerrahn, Nicolas Haeni, Romain Mader.
> WANDERING BEARS is a creative studio and photography-led community – a centre for new work, ideas and collaborative projects. Founded in 2010, Wandering Bears organise exhibitions, talks, podcasts and workshops, showcasing and collaborating with both emerging and established artists from around the world to create something unique within the photographic community.
> OPEN DOOR is a curated programme that aims to engage The Photographers’ Gallery’s audiences in the interdisciplinary work of a range of less visible practices by young and emerging individuals, communities and organisations.
