IN UNA BREZZA LEGGERA | FONDAZIONE MEMMO, ROMA
Fondazione Memmo presents “In una brezza leggera” (In a gentle breeze), the tenth edition of the annual Conversation Piece cycle, curated by Marcello Smarrelli.
The exhibition explores the work of Italian and international artists who choose Rome as a place of residence and research, featuring Bianca Bondi, Enzo Cucchi (with a collective piece), Sidival Fila, Vanessa Garwood, and Richard Mosse.
Inspired by the Ponentino, the light breeze characteristic of Rome, and the biblical story of the prophet Elijah, the exhibition touches on themes such as creation, Greek mythology (Zephyr), and the philosophical concept of pneuma as the origin of all things.
Do artworks have a soul? The artists respond to this question through original or site-specific artworks reflecting on art’s ability to withstand the passage of time.
The exhibition will be open until March 31, 2025.
