IL QUALE CERCA SOLAMENTE LA SUA BELLEZZA, NEL MONDO QUI DESCRITTO | CASA MORANDI, BOLOGNA

As part of ART CITY Bologna, Casa Morandi, in collaboration with Galleria P420, will host Alessandra Spranzi’s solo exhibition titled “Il quale cerca solamente la sua bellezza, nel mondo qui descritto.”
Curated by Lorenzo Balbi, the exhibition features ten unpublished photographs from the series “Sul tavolo #80” (2014–2024), a project that explores repetition as a method to deepen the perception of time and the act of observing.

The artworks focus on a specific subject: a page featuring a work by Giorgio Morandi, taken from the first monograph dedicated to him, and a copper pipe found on the street. This becomes a pretext to investigate the essence of things and images. Each photograph slightly varies in color and light, inviting the viewer to adopt a slow and contemplative gaze. Repetition, rather than a formal exercise, seeks to reach a metaphysical dimension where thought and form emerge.

The opening will take place on Wednesday, January 15, at 6:00 PM, and the exhibition will remain open until March 16.
