I DON’T CARE (ABOUT FOOTBALL) | FESTIVALFILOSOFIA 2024, MODENA

On the occasion of festivalfilosofia 2024, on Saturday, September 14th at 6:00 PM, there will be a conversation at the courtyard of Palazzo Solmi in Modena, titled I don’t care (about football). Heart and mind, a game to become something other than what we are.
Mario Colucci, Giulia Iacolutti, and Tiziano Possamai will discuss the topic of mental distress, which is still burdened by prejudice. Quoting Franco Basaglia, who would have turned 100 this year, “to truly face illness, we should encounter it outside of institutions, meaning not only outside of psychiatric institutions, but outside of any other institution whose function is to label, codify, and fix in frozen roles those who belong to it.”

The conversation, curated by Generazione Critica, enrich the homonymous site-specific installation by Giulia Iacolutti, in collaboration with Nicola Di Croce, at Arena – Spazio Culturale, viale Tassoni 8, Modena.
