FACILE IRONIA. L’IRONIA NELL’ARTE ITALIANA TRA XX E XXI SECOLO | MAMBO, BOLOGNA

On the occasion of the thirteenth edition of ART CITY Bologna (February 6–16, 2025), the group exhibition titled “Facile ironia. L’ironia nell’arte italiana tra XX e XXI secolo” and curated by Lorenzo Balbi and Caterina Molteni, will open at MAMbo.
The exhibition features over 70 artists from different generations—from the 1950s to the present—who have embraced irony as a common language, thus shaping the history of contemporary Italian art.

The opening will take place on Wednesday, February 5, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and the exhibition will remain open until September 7.

ART CITY is an annual event—organized alongside Arte Fiera—that, from Thursday, February 6, to Sunday, February 9, transforms the city of Bologna into a vast, metropolitan open-air museum.
