CANTICA21 | Open call

Cantica21 is an open call for Italian artists, promoted by MAECI and MiBACT, in order to promote contemporary Italian art, supporting new productions and exhibiting them at Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies, Consulates.

The call is addressed to:

-20 emerging artists, under-35, who will receive 5000 euros in production fees

-20 over-35 artists, who will receive 10000 euros in production fees

-5 original projects on Dante Alighieri, who will receive 20000 euros in production fees.

The deadline to participate is on October 19th, at noon. In November, a list of winners will be published. Once realized (before June 30th, 2021), the works will join an Italian public collection of contemporary art (State, Region, Province, City) that the artist had previously listed in the application form, upon agreement.

During the second half of 2021, the spread art exhibition will take place: all the works will be temporarily exhibited at Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies, Consulates. At the end of the exhibition, the works will come back to their Italian collection and could be hosted at Collezione Farnesina.
