CAMPO18 / Sandretto Re Rabaudengo Foundation
The eighteenth edition of the CAMPO course for curators, promoted by the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation of Turin, is open to submissions.
The course is aimed at undergraduates and graduates in artistic disciplines, from degree courses in Cultural Heritage, History of Art, DAMS and Fine Arts Academies. Candidates coming from other humanistic disciplines are welcome (including Architecture, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology) and interested in acquiring knowledge in the field of contemporary art are welcome. The program, which will be held from November to June, is divided into lectures, laboratory, field study and internship, for a total of 900 hours of teaching activities.
CAMPO is a course that combines the formula of the specialized course with that of the traveling residence: it starts from the museum, the operational base for training and professional experience in a moving research path, through a rich calendar of study visits in the main Italian artistic institutions, in non-profit spaces, in galleries and artists’ studios. Its structure in/out is designed to reflect the characteristics and modalities of the curatorial profession, a dynamic practice based on study and disciplinary themes integrating relationships, contacts, continuous contacts with artists, curators, critics, gallery owners, directors and operators of museum institutions, public and independent art centers.
Deadline for theĀ applications: 8th July 2018.
