CALL LYDIA! 2021

Il Lazzaretto supports the search for emerging talents in Italy. To this end, it promotes Lydia!, an award dedicated to the memory of sculptor Lydia Silvestri.

Under35 artists living in Italy can submit their original proposal with no limits as far as art techniques, formats, languages, also mixed and hybridised.

The prize consists of:

• 5.000 euros gross, thus divided:
  3.000 euros for the production of the winning proposal, hospitality and travel expenses and 2000 euros as artist fee.
• A mentorship program with artist Adrian Paci.
• The work will be presented in the context of Il Festival della Peste 2021

To be part of  Lydia! Premio all’Arte Contemporanea Emergente 2021 all artists have to send to lydia@illazzaretto.com the following materials:

• Portfolio and curriculum in .pdf
• Presentation letter of the artistic and professional path, the interest in participating and how the prize could support the research (max 2.000 characters in .pdf);
• The concept of the project (max 1500 characters);
• 3 questions inspired to the approach of the call that the candidate would like to deepen within the research  (max 400 characters);
• A selection of max  5 images (JPEG max 72 dpi) that could help to describe the project
