BMW Residency | Call for application

Bmw Art & Culture has opened the call for the ninth edition of BMW Residency, a three-month residency offering the possibility to a selected artist to develop a photographic project at the Gobelins School of Visual Arts (FR), between September and December 2019.

Since 2011, BMW Art & Culture, with the support of the artistic director François Cheval, has supported every year this project dedicated to innovation and the discovery of emerging talents in the photographic field. The Gobelins School of Visual Arts has been involved in the residency project for the last two years, following a six-year partnership with the Nicéphore Niépce Museum.

A selection of works produced during the residency will be exhibited in two important photographic events of which BMW is a partner: the Festival Les Rencontres d’Arles 2020 and Paris Photo Fair 2020. The works produced during the BMW Residency will also be presented in a volume published by éditions Trocadéro.
