AVANT-GARDE AND LIBERATION | MUMOK, VIENNA
“Avant-Garde and Liberation,” a group exhibition curated by Christian Kravagna and Matthias Michalka, is currently on display at mumok, in Wien.
The exhibition is designed to highlight the importance of global modernism in contemporary art.
In a complex tangle of past and present, the participating artists draw inspiration from the anticolonial and antiracist positions formed from the 1920s to the 1970s to take a stand against current forms of racism and neocolonialism.
