AMAZONS. THE ANCESTRAL FUTURE | CENTRE DE CULTURA CONTEMPORÀNIA DE BARCELONA

“Amazons. The Ancestral Future” is the group exhibition curated by Claudi Carreras, opening tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13, at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).
The themes explored range from the fight against deforestation and the protection of the Amazon’s natural resources to the research on the transformation of Amazonian ecosystems over the past centuries, as well as the linguistic diversity and cultural richness of this geographical area.

All the artworks featured in the exhibition—murals, installations, photographs, and more—are new and were specially commissioned for this project.
“Amazons. The Ancestral Future” will be open until May 4, 2025.
